The composite deck is made of a combination of foam and fibreglass. The use of the composite material allows the deck to be both structurally strong as well as light. The design of the deck comprised of many bends and curvatures that were developed through many design iterations. This deck from designing to development to construction took the span of a year.Architecture
The International Convention Centre located in Darling Harbour was a recent addiction to the area. It consists of three buildings with the Convention Area depicted in the image. The project was a $1.5 billion effort by the government to renew the area with the structures being designed by architectural firms Hassell & Populous.

This photograph was taken from the Sydney Botanical Gardens looking towards Sydney Harbour. I was able to capture the orange tones in the sky by capturing the image at "golden hour" which occurs around sunset. To bring out the contrasting blue sky and orange sunset the image was edited in Adobe Lightroom.
